Ginny Schniewind Chartered Physiotherapist BSc (Hons) Manchester University

Ginny graduated from the School of Physiotherapy at Manchester University  in 2004 and then spent the next four years working in the National Health Service (NHS) in London. She has always loved the mountains and sport therefore when the opportunity arose almost ten years ago to work as a Chartered Physiotherapist in a ski resort, it was the perfect opportunity.  Ginny has now worked as a Chartered Physiotherapist in Val d’Isere since 2008 .

Val d'Isère is her permanent home and she lives here all year round with her husband and 3 young children who attend the excellent local school where even a meter of snow does not cause it to close!

Ginny loves her job as a physiotherapist, massage therapist and pilates instructor .   She finds it so rewarding seeing how  grateful her clients are for helping them when they are injured with physiotherapy  and after a massage or pilates session.

Ginny could not be living in a more amazing environment to be bringing children up and the opportunities  it provides for them as a family.  In the winter there is skiing, ski touring, cross country skiing , ice skating and husky riding to name a few of the activities.  In the summer there is climbing, via ferratas, hiking, outdoor swimming, roller blading, cycling, horse riding and loads more!  She would really recommend coming here for a holiday in the summer as well as the winter.

This summer Ginny is taking on for the 3rd time the challenge of the Ice Trail in Val d'Isèe which consist of 42km run and 3,500m ascent up 6 cols in Val d'Isère.  She hopes to improve on her place last year finishing as 8th Female.
